About this CD

This CD is designed to supplement and support books and instruction on Perceptual Control Theory (PCT). This CD contains numerous introductions to PCT—some virtually book length—and a large number of tutorial, demonstration and simulation programs designed to run on DOS and Windows computers.
    Internet access through broadband is becoming more common, but not everyone has it. Some files on this CD are large. So while the website www.livingcontrolsystems.com features the same material, having this CD becomes a convenience.
    Order forms are not included on this CD. Availability and prices change, so please visit theLiving Control Systems website through the Internet or contact the publisher some other way.

About PDF-files

A large number of the documents available on this disk are .pdf files. PDF files require Adobe Acrobat Reader or a PDF viewer, such as included with recent versions of Apple computer operating systems.
    The pdf files are compatible with Acrobat version 5 and later.
    To install Acrobat 5 on your windows computer, see the folder acrobat_windows on this CD. You must install the program first to be able to install the update. The web page from which the update was downloaded in September 2002 is stored here (pdf-file). As you can see, this version should work with all versions of Windows.
    To install Acrobat 5 on your Mac running OS9, see the folder acrobat_mac_os_90_86 on this CD. The web page from which this program was downloaded in August 2005 shows here (pdf-file, scroll down to see settings).
   Several other, more recent versions of the Adobe Acrobat reader, for various operating systems, are available at the Adobe website www.adobe.com. (Link requires Internet access).
